The Prayers of Jesus (6-8) 3/04/09
We continue with an overview of the 27 prayers of Jesus.
6. Praying after being rejected by certain cities in Galilee (Matthew 11:25-30)
KJV Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
KJV Matthew 11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
KJV Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
KJV Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
KJV Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
KJV Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
7. Praying prior to the feeding of 5000 people (John 6:11)
KJV John 6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
8. Praying after feeding 5000 people (Matthew 14:22,23)
KJV Matthew 14:22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
KJV Matthew 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
